The UK government (GOV.UK) has recently advocated to use plain English instead of the long and formal words in official communication. The reason is to make the language simple and easy to be understood, say using “buy” instead of “purchase” and “about” instead of “approximately”. Take a look at the following list of words which you may need to consider avoiding them!
